Events: Pinewood Derby Update - More Racing added

This years Pinewood Derby will feature MORE RACING than ever before! ! !
March 3rd: Pre-Race "Test & Tune" Day ..... Come and try your car on the Official YIGP P/W track and get tips and help in the pits from some of our most experienced racers.
When: March 3rd Time: 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm Where: United Methodist Church - 100W. Cossit Ave, LaGrange
March 4th: Race Day You will have the opportunity to race against Guides and Princesses from our own age group. Watch who will become "King of the Hill" and go on to the Champion Race

Upcoming Events - Mark your calendars
February 10th, 2012: Kachina Princess Dance .. Come to the Riverside Golf club for a special evening with your Little Princess ... They won't be little for long so enjoy this time you have together. See below for additional details.
February 25th, 2012: Chicago Wolves Game. Come enjoy the Chicago Wolves as the play the Abbotsford Heat at 7:00 pm. All participants will receive a Hat Voucher, A Wolves Patch and a chance for your Brave or Princess to win an official Jersey. For additional details, click HERE
March 4th, 2012: Pinewood
Derby at LTHS South Campus ... Ladies and Gentlemen .. Start your
engines or in this case Power Tools and create your own piece of racing

March 16th, 2012: Mens Fellowship Night. Grab a Fellow Brave or a couple of buddies and come enjoy the camaraderie at this annual fundraiser. There will be plenty of raffles, card games and Texas Hold-Em tournament. $ 30.00 if prebooked ... $ 45.00 at the door. For additional details Click Here

Events: An Invitation from the Kachina Princess Tribe

Daddy Daughter Dance, February 10, 2012
Each year the Kachina Tribe hosts a Daddy Daughter Dance.
This years event will be February 10, 2012 at
The Riverside Golf Club, 2520 Des Plaines Avenue, Riverside.
Tickets
will be on sale between 10 am and 6 pm, Tuesday to Saturday at Salon
D'Amore; 52 East Burlington Road, Riverside; The cost is $35 per person.
Activities include:
Dinner,
Dancing, corsages and a gift for the girls and boutonnieres for the
dads and a professional photo to remember the evening.
Proceeds from the event will be used to support YMCA Indian Princess activities as well as local organizations.

You're a new Dad in the program and your Tribal Chief has published a calendar of Tribal Meetings ... Your meeting is next month and you need a plan.
A few of us wise old Nation Chiefs and Chiefs have put some thought into this and can offer a few suggestions. Please see the following links for a couple of outlines that can be used for tribal meetings.
There is nothing written in stone, but these are tried and proven suggestions.
Just keep in mind ..... It's about spending time with your Princess or Guide as these days pass too soon. Have Fun !

Recently, the PTF Web Weavers have been asked "Where's My Email Blast?".
We have decided there could be several reasons why you did not get a blast for an event or outing.
The most common are as follows:
- Due to it being a "Bulk" mail program it may be in your Spam Folder - Adding the following email address to your address book will help alleviate this problem. yigp.announce-bounces@yigp.org (Do not send emails to this address as it is not monitored)
- Do we have your correct email address? Just in case we have added a button on the left margin of our website to Subscribe, Un-subscribe or change your existing email address. Please feel free to use the Email List Button subscribe yourself for future email blasts.

Bulletin: Where can I get one of those great tribal VESTS?

While attending one of the PTF's Pow Wows, the above question came up.
The answer is simple. It is a business called "The Patch Store" and by clicking HERE you will find a printable order form for your tribal vests. You can also order on line by going directly to the Patch Stores web site and click on the tab "VESTS" Any questions, here is another link to the Patch Stores web site.
A word from a wise old chief - Order your Childs vest bigger than you would normally .. It may be too big on them in Kindergarten or 1st grade, but before you know it they will be in 4th or 5th grade and have run out of room for those coveted patches.

News: Patches & Points - Time Saving Tip

Chiefs, Need a way to save some time - Email your Honor Points and Patch requests prior to the Longhouse meetings. Honor points will be added as soon as they are received by Nation Chief Jim McClean and your patches will pre-packaged and ready for pick up at the next longhouse.
